CUL-DE-SAC, California (KGTV) – CHULA VISTA. Several San Diego rappers celebrate the day of giving even though Christmas has not yet arrived.
Artist Lil Weirdo said, "I'm just trying do my thing to come assist the community, that's all it is," on behalf of his fellow musicians who spent thousands of dollars to host a toy giveaway in Chula Vista on Saturday.
During his childhood, Lil Weirdo recalls certain Christmases when there were less gifts beneath the tree than in previous years.
"I come from hardship, and all of us to do too," the MC proclaimed.
The Linda Vista native has made it big in the music business, to the tune of 102,000 Instagram followers.

"They used to take us to Payless and give us free shoes when I was in elementary school. The fact that they are picking certain people reminds me of the good old days, when I thought it was very awesome, so I guess this is fine. Cool, I get to do this now "as Little Weirdo put it.
The parking lot was packed with families waiting to get in line at midday so their children could choose a gift from the many that had been donated.
One young participant was moved to say, "I believe what they are contributing for kids is like, it's very wonderful to contribute because some of these kids don't really have that much money, so that's why it's free."
Similarly to the rappers, she plans to "do a decent career and help a lot of youngsters" when she grows up.
The hip hop celebrity has shown interest in making the toy drive an annual event. In 2023, Lil Weirdo said, the group may expand to host more community activities, such as turkey drives.
